Carfax Reports on eBay In preparing an account for Ebay Local, you have the option to display Carfax reports on the actual Ebay listings. There are two formats:
1. Regular "Hot Listings" - These Carfax Reports will be displayed when the customer clicks the Carfax logo on the right side of the listing. In this format, ONLY the Carfax reports that you have ALREADY PURCHASED will be available for the customer to view for free. If they click on a car that has not had one purchased, it prompts them to purchase it. If the Carfax was purchased and there is an issue with the Report, it shows "No information Available".
2. Auto Purchase "Hot Listings" - These Carfax Reports will be displayed when the customer clicks the Carfax logo on the right side of the listing. In this format, ALL OF the Carfax reports are AUTO PURCHASED (You will be charged) and will be available for the customer to view for free. This ensures that the report is always able to be displayed when clicked. If the Carfax was purchased and there is an issue with the Report, it shows "No information Available".
In either event, you need the Carfax username and password for your dealership. |
