2000 Neon Question I noticed that when I "floored it" to merge into continuously oncomming traffic (You know NYC) getting on the New Jersey-Bound George Washington Bridge at about 5AM that once the car hit 50 or 55 that she was "reving" more than she was accellerating. Although, once I "let off" the accelerator she seems to run fine but that was an experience I hope not to have again anytime soon! But, more importantly, why did that happen? She only has 128K miles on her and she's used to going VERY VERY FAST (Average speed for her is apx 75MPH)
I got this car on 10/18 of last year and for the most part she's saved my ass being that I can go anywhere I need to in Upstate NY where public transportation is a bit on the "deficient side". Plus I also utilize her as a Emergency Medical Response Vehicle in Upstate NY so that's the reason I'm fighting to keep this car "out of the grave"
Her Repairs (10/18/07 - Present) include:
--------------------------------------------------------------
Spark Plugs & Wires,
2 - Fuel Injectors,
Front Brakes (pads),
Fuel Filter,
Upper and Lower Torque Struts,
Routine Oil Changes,

Any help you can be will be greatly apprieciated. |
