    Default Unrequited car love :-]

Hmm, 2 accidents in my 03 A4 quattro in less than 5 weeks.
I like the car just fine but I keep getting into at fault accidents
    (see above).
Strangely no such problem with another car of mine (a beater).
Had a similar problem with 05 outbacksport back around 2007 or 2008
but not to such an extent: just scratched the rear bumper backing it
    out of
a tandem garage (could not feel anything, numb steering)

And of course being the guy I would not blame my driving, it must be
    the car, right? right? :-))))))

Then there was a case 1992 subaru legacy that became a $10k money pit
(over a little over 3 years
    mind you).

prior to that 1993 ford taurus -> I liked the car just fine and hardly
    had any problems with
it except for the grand boredom. the car went to one girlfriend and
    then to another one.

02 mazda protege: nary a problem in about 3 years I had it for -> went
    to my 1st ex wife
not that I wanted to part but you'd do just about anything to get rid
    of a woman non grata
if you know what I mean.

Anyone wanna share stories of one way car love?

I was considering purchasing a used A4 but my mechanic's opinion was
that they were troublesome. No matter, I got a Korean-Klone 06 Hyundai
Sonata that looks just like an A4. The 240 HP V6 probably makes it
somewhat more gutsier than an Audi. Hopefully, Korean parts will be
    cheaper than German parts.

I thought my 84 U R A BUS GL wagon pretty much sucked. The motor was so
weak that the AC compressor caused the car to bog down. Subaru is now
    dead to me.

My 94 Taurus wagon was OK, it worked too. I gave a guy a ride in it and
he said "Is this a station wagon? I've never been in one of these
before." These days the "station wagon" label seems to be pretty much
    marketing poison.

It's possible that Subaru has made a change or two in the last
    twenty-eight years.

might be the case in the states.
around here jap parts are uber expensive, maybe koreans are
    less so.

I like the looks of people who see how much clearance my wagon has:
    about 4" and that's it

    parking is pain though
but the ride is uber super good. would not trade it for a front wheel
    driver
    such as sonata.

I liked my brother's sonata gls just fine but it's not an all-weather
    interceptor
    that my A4 is.
if fwd was enough there definitely would've been cheaper options for
    me
but I'm tired of pushing a stuck car in winter. hence quattro(torsen)
    to the rescue

I used to have a Chevy Cavalier and boy were those parts cheap! I would
feel guilty for buying the parts. :-)

I wouldn't want a 4 wheel drive car but then again, it never snows here
nor do I drive on the sand. When we were in WA state, it snowed and my
sister-in-law kept going on about going up a hill to get to a church.
She made it sound real iffy but we just drove up there with no sliding
in our rented 4WD Tahoe. It is always good to have the ability to not
    slide off a hill.
