Default 99 Buick Regal Power Loss issue

Friday night while making a right turn I flipped on the turn signal.
The car seemed to lose electrical power momentarlily. The next left
turn as I flipped the turn signal indicator I did lose all electrical
power and the car rolled to a stop. I restarted the vehicle and drove
home not using the turn signals.
In the driveway I repeated the above and everytime I flipped the
switch it lost power and stalled. I remembered having a similar issue
with my Console Shifter & Ignition Key Switch not working properly and
it seemed to be a loose battery connection. So I repeated the battery
terminal / Cable cleaning and tightening procedure then started it and
flipped the switch a few times and thought it was fixed. The next
journey out was even worse. The car stalled again using the right turn
signal. It re-started but would not shift out of park. Eventually
after whacking the console shifter on the button I was able to get it
into drive and get it home. Any ideas?

I'd be suspecting the ign switch as long as you are sure the cables are good
at both ends and not internally corroded.
