Default '93 Gran Prix ABS

'93 Pontiac Gran Prix, 133K miles, ABS system makes what could be
described as a gurgling sound sometimes when the brakes are applied
lightly. I've never heard one make a sound like that before.
Under normal braking it hasn't made that sound.
ABS light comes on intermittently, and has for a long time, which I
always attributed to a sensor as it seemed to start when driving on a
slushy road.
This is an old car and we have gotten another car to replace it, but
we were thinking about selling this one to a friend who needs a work
car. It's had the trans replaced. and the 3.1 still runs like new.
I'm not a big fan of ABS anyway and it seems like they screw up a lot,
and I almost certainly wouldn't fix it if I were going to keep the car.
But if anyone knows what might cause the sound I described, I'd like
to know so that when I go to sell it I can at least tell the buyer what
that is and what -- if anything -- might be done about it. TIA

Default Re: '93 Gran Prix ABS

The abs is activating, usually from a bad wheel speed sensor input signal.
