Mechanic's Manuals
Hello,
I have a '96 LeSabre and am a home mechanic. I was wondering if
there was a cheap place to get my hands on the Manufacturer's manual
for installation. As much as it's nice to have the little book that I
can get at the auto parts store, it's for a few very different
vehicles, and isn't very detailed at all. I need a book that will tell
me the location of EVERY screw, as well as how tight it's supposed to
be. Basically, I need to be able to take apart every piece of this car
and put it back together. Any help in finding a cheap location to buy
these books is much appreciated.

There's book one of a 2 book series. For a '97 though. Probably no
changes from the 1996 model. If you keep checking on ebay, you'll find a
complete set for a 1996 Buick. Also, maybe try alibris.com, abebooks.com
-- online used book sellers. They may have repair manuals.

Ben,
Hit eBay, also check out www.factoryautomanuals.com and
www.faxonautoliterature.com.
The manual set you are looking for is the 1996 "C" & "H" body set (2
manuals), which will cover your '96 LeSabre plus the '96 Buick Park
Avenue, Olds 88, 98 & LSS and the Pontiac Bonneville.
