Default Coolant leak in 2004 Quest?

    Hi all,

I'm new to the group & have a 2004 Quest with 7k left on the 100k
    extended warranty I bought...

I noticed some fluid on the floor of the garage two weeks ago so I
checked the levels... saw that the coolant was below the MIN line...
topped it off and checked it again 2 or 3 days later - below the MIN line
again so I topped it off again and took it into the garage telling them
    that it was leaking coolant.

They gave me a call and said that it wasn't a coolant leak, but that I
had a loose oil line and it was leaking oil. When I checked the oil
prior to bringing it in it wasn't low & they confirmed the same - oil
level was good even with the leaking line.

They offered to pressure test the coolant system & found no leaks. Since
they fixed the oil line the coolant hasn't dropped at all either.

I'm thinking that somehow (I don't know much about these systems), the
coolant was/is leaking into the engine oil & now that they fixed the
loose oil line it's keeping it balanced.

Is there a way to check to see if this is the case? I'm know it
shouldn't be mixing, but don't know how to give them evidence that it is
    - plus they don't seem to be very interested in investigating it.

    Thanks!

If there's coolant in the oil and you have not changed it since the
leak, you should be able to spot it. Look under the filler cap for
some white foamy stuff. If it's there, that's water in the oil. You
could also drain it an perhaps see the water in the drain pan... but
if the engine has run for a while it may have burned off and left only
    the foamy stuff.
