Need alignment? If it's done the right way, no. If the shop leaves it to
someone who disassembles all of the outboard steering and suspension
components to pull it out, yes... and the second way costs about three
times more too! You live & learn...
If it doesn't feel the same &/or right, then it probably isn't, *unless*
it's been weeks since you last drove it. Why not take it back and nicely
ask them to drive it, check it over and check the alignment. Probably
makes a good customer relations exercise for them as long as you're
pleasant. Cheers
