interesting...
There is a photo that reveals some of the internals. That crazy crank is
going to be turning it. Bizarre.
The gas versions can't even stay together. This will prove to be
interesting.....
A 3 main bearing indestructible crank would make my day.Like the day they
made it over 100 years ago. With over 100 years and climbing (pun intended)
tp prove it is indesterctible I wonder what they think they are capturing
with those extra 2 bearings... Where there is nothing but the genious that
goes with a boxer four, They are putting a bearing where perfection occured,
and more friction. it clearly shows Japan robbed the design for thier own.
Leaps and bounds by Subaru, and that EJ crank is as backwards as it gets.
Bizarre bizarre...
A turbo'd diesel torque thump is going to be interesting indeed...balanced
engine or not, it needs a man sized crankshaft.

Oh, BTW, for all you history buffs out there, the article has errors.
1. the first boxer four was a nesselsdorfer in 1902. The benz was not a four
cylinder.
2. This part makes mae angry... The ej series crankshafdt defies a very
oimportant logic to the 3 main bearong boxer four cylinder- a true boxer
four does not have FIVE MAIN BEARINGS. That is a feat of engineering that
deserves its own name- "boxer" is factually not one of them.
