They certainly have changed. For one thing, they apparently prefer "Asian"
to "Oriental".

The way I heard it was that rugs, vases, etc. are Oriental; people are not.

They wouldn't be offended. Orientals are normally from East Asia. But
if you call the Arabs Orientals, they might =)
