Can anyone point me at pictures or manual on how to get at it (or just
describe how)?

These instructions explain how to remove the trim around the HVAC controls: http://www.pro-fit-intl.com/Adobe/MV-50-03-L-p15.pdf
Getting at the clock should be obvious once you get the trim piece off.

Thank you for the info.
Damn Dash trim removal tool (DM-40-22) costs about what a little
stand-alone clock will and whole process does not look like fun.
Would a thin knife do the same thing?

| | | Re: 2003 corolla clock not working I have a friend with a Highlander of similar vintage. His clock was giving
him fits, and it turns out that the clock is a Battery Monitor of sorts. The
clock is not an important feature, so if they give it a Low Battery Circuit
that cause the clock to forget what time it is, then you can buy a new
battery before something important stops working. My friend would set the
clock when he started his car, but the next time he started it, the clock
might or might not remember what time it is, and either flash or display the
time as the case may be.
I suggest you have the battery checked ...

However you do it, make sure the car interior is warm. Plastic loves to
crack when it's cold, and then you'll invent obscenities never before heard. |

Thanks but my only complaint is that the display is very erratic - off
more than it is on. When it comes on it is correct. Seems like there
is something loose in there.
