Americans approving of the job George W. Bush is doing as president, an
improvement from his recent scores in the low 30s. Meanwhile, 22% of
Americans approve of Congress, essentially unchanged from last month.

37 percent for a president in the last year of the second term in not
bad at all. The congress on the other hand, needs new leadership. The
dims have flunked first grade.
How's the food over in the nursing home today? Was it warm?

Secondary spinning. New York Times/CBS 28% (taken one day earlier)
PollingReport.com:
"Thinking ahead to November 2008, which of these two statements comes
closest to your own views? After eight years of George W. Bush, we need
to elect a president who can set the nation in a new direction. OR, We
need to keep the country moving in the direction Bush has been taking us."
New directions: 75%
"Do you have more confidence in President Bush or in the Democrats in
Congress to deal with the major issues facing the country today?"
Bush: 35%
Dems in Congress: 48%
(this says a lot considering the low numbers for Congress)
"As you may know, impeachment is the first step in the constitutional
process for removing a president from office, in which possible crimes
are investigated and charges are made. Do you think there is or is not
justification for Congress to begin impeachment proceedings against

Justification: 35%
No Justificatios: 62%

I can only think that the pollsters found a lot of blithering idiots (and
Bushies) to boost this percentage to 37 %.
That and the folks who may not be aware that Osama Bin Laden still hasn't
been captured after six years of looking for him.
Oh, that's right, Bush said he really didn't care (any more) whether OBL
might be found.

LOL, Like the feeling of giving orders do ya? Too late to do whats
right. Better to wait. Romney keeps talking about the three legged
stool of conservatism. That stool is looking pretty wobbly. The
"military" leg is cracked, the family values leg has been stained by
child molesters and gay sex, and the economic policy leg is a ticking
time bomb. The only question is whether or not they can hold it together
long enough to do what George Bush has historically taken to an art
form, sticking someone else with cleaning up his mess.
