Default Change timing on auto door lock?

The manual says to contact the dealer if I want to change the timing
of the automatic door lock function when using the wireless remote. Is
there some way I can do this myself? I'd like to change it from 30
seconds to 5 minutes, or maybe disable it altogether...

I believe that the car has to be connected to the dealer's diagnostic
computer to change those settings.

Like Ray said, that is a dealer adjustment to owners preference. They
have to access the S.M.A.R.T. (acronym for something) system. The
certification computer must be accessed.

There is probably going to be a charge for this and at that time they
can change many other user preferences.

Think about it before you take it in and ask them to change around any
others you may need, such as one button push opens all locks, seat belt
buzzer and the such.
