| | | OT GOING TO VOTE DEMOCRAT Do your civic duty, as President Bush said outside of his local polling
spot just moments ago. Vote. This is your obligation as a citizen of
the USA.
I suggest voting (D) all the way down the line, but even if you choose
(R) or (I) or (G) or (L) or even (S), remember that my relatives shed
blood on this land and other lands, for your right to vote.
If you choose not to vote, then get out of my country would be my
advice.

In my area they give you these "I Voted" stickers on your way out of
the precinct. I got two of them and wrote "Twice" on one of them and
then affixed them both to my shirt when I came to work. My far lefty
co-worker is having a conniption at this moment...

I would say privilege rather than obligation, though sadly underused.
Considering how many people all over the world struggle for this right.
Vote.
Of course this reminds me of the following Gore Vidal quote:
"Half of the American people never read a
newspaper. Half never vote for President.
One hopes it is the same half."
Off to cast my votes .. |

Is that not also my choice?
I did not vote in the last two Prez elections, since BOTH of them turned
my stomach!
I did vote for Perot the time before that.
Our Senators are staying in place this time around... (more's the
pity...Kennedy and Kerry?!??!? There's a pair that'll beat a Full House!)
I'm not voting the straight Rep ticket, since I don't like our choice the
candidate for Gov, and I don't trust the Dem (He's in favor of giving
illegals Driver's Licenses and In-State Tuition!).
The only one I can really vote my conscience is the Green/Rainbow party
candidate! She's the only one that kept On-Topic (Unlike this NG) didn't
sling Mud, and has a BRAIN!!!
Too bad she's going to lose. I predict the Dem will win; I actually like
him except for the Illegals thing, but I can't vote for him on that basis.
Either that, or I will vote the Dem Gov, and then the straight Rep ticket
after that, just for fun!

I suggest you get on my daily joke list and be amused everyday. We all
could use more laughter.
