Interesting how you delete your claim "Iran and Iraq both claim America
is their enemy." (See my original reply below.) Could you please explain
what you meant by this? One would hope that you know that the US is in
Iraq trying to secure the peace, something that the US had no plan for
when it invaded Iraq in 2003.

Great comeback! You should print it out so you can remember it!
Obviously, you have no way to support the US's support of two warring
parties so they kill each other.

The US gov't recognizes the heads of state of Syria. They don't like
them, but they recognize them.
Please show the law that was broken.

Then you need to read the history of the area. Syria was declared a
terrorist supporting state in 1979. Just who was the President at the
time? Hint: He has a Noble Peace Prize.
Have a great evening!

Please show the law that says visiting Syria's head of state is treason.
You may or may not agree with Carter's actions, but you have yet to show
why going into Syria and visiting the head of state is treason.

I don't recall the present Iraqi government claiming the US is the
Iraq's enemy. Things change.
None the less, providing weapons to two parties so that they can wage
war against each other is repugnant, IMHO.

Please explain what aid and comfort Jimmy Carter gave.
And, while the US Gov't considers Syria to be a terror-supporting state,
when was it declared an enemy?
