My mom's in a nursing home, legally blind from macular degeneration and
93 years old. I called her but I didn't wish her a <happy> mothers day.
She understands the situation and we had a good talk about everything
under the sun. She's still sharp as a tack. Moms are great friends
too.

I've been called a "mother", now and then, even though I am biologically
incapable of motherhood.

How often are you able to visit your mother in person?

I haven't been able to visit my mother since 2004. Mom was only 69 when
she died.

Charles the Curmudgeon.

Think yourself fortunate Charles. Mine was 55 and I lost her at age 16.
