If he could get oil, gas, coal production going in the US he wouldn't
have to go begging for more oil from those bastards. Thank the
Democrats and environmentalists for the high price of gas in the US.
We have untold amount of resources that would fuel our economy and
standard of living for hundreds of years.
By the way, you are still a jerk for your behavior in the Philip thread. |

Nonsense.

If I want your opinion, I'll beat it out of you. |

Wrong. The high price of crude oil is because India and China are using
more and more of the stuff.
The price of gasoline is determined in large part by the price of crude oil.
The democrats and environmentalists have nothing do with this.
Further, both Democrats and Republicans get lots of money from oil
companies.

Coal resources, maybe. But not oil resources.
Further, there are major problems with Global Heating.

Well, not just that thread.

You're going to get my opinion whether you like it or not. You
actually beg for it by starting threads like this.

This is true because of the law of supply and demand. The supply is in
our own back yard and we aren't allowed to touch it. If we could drill
for oil on our own territory and refine it locally the demand by the US
would be less on the world market. That would have the effect of
keeping gas prices lower in the US.
> The democrats and environmentalists have nothing do with this.
Sure they do, they are the ones blocking this option. Other than
wanting the US standard of living to drop or create more dependence
upon the government I can't think of any reason why.

Start ferreting them out, I'm sure the constituents would like to know.

Coal can be made into diesel fuel. We are past the point of market
feasibility for this option.

That remains debatable as to whether man has any significant impact
upon that phenomena. There are tons of data indicating the Earth is
significantly cooler now than in previous eons. In fact it appears we
are in cycle where the Earth will be getting much cooler over the next
few hundred years.
