The global love fest for Obama doesn't really matter.

As Newsweek wrote, "While Obama now "seems" confident, competent and
unperturbed--swanning around the globe with foreign leaders has that
effect--McCain suddenly "seems" angry, petulant and even desperate."

I saw on TV this morning that the New York Times is raising the Daily
Newsstand price by $0.25 to cover the drop in advertising revenues.
Advertisers are pulling ads at least in part due to the drive-by-media
quality of the reporting and the Op/Eds that are driving subscribers
(except, apparently, JoeSpareBedroom) away. Without subscribers, the NYT
can't get advertisers, so they have to raise the price at the newsstand.
You'd think they'd get back to proper and unbiased reporting to attract
subscribers. |

Could this have anything to do with overall printed news vs. the internet
now used a a huge source of news, & not an individual source of hard copy
news?

Allow me to point ouot one thing, they are not raising the price of thhe
paper because they can't get advertisers to pay for space. Read into that
what you like, or don't like, I really don't care. | | Thread Tools | | | | Display Modes | Linear Mode |
