Firefox has a "Unix" learning curve. It has an unnecessary
complicated Favorites.

Actually I prefer it.

My preferred sites can be listed as buttons along the top without
going into favorites.

You can do the same with IE. View-Toolbars-Links and then drag the
Links bar below the address bar and expand it.
