president, well,... I don't believe it will have been an accident. It

Hillary's chances at the slot are better than mine, but that's not saying
much. I'm pretty sure I'm not even being vetted, but I could be wrong. Odds
of me being wrong, and Hillary's chances at #2 are about the same, I'd
guess.

He would play reasonably well with white folks too -- sorry for tossing in
the race card.

I have to wonder is he is liberal in the same mold as Obama though. The
problem (if this is true) is that Obama needs middle-right people that are
sitting on the fence to jump over to his side, and if the VP pick is not
conservative enough relative to Obama himself, then the center-rights might
go to McCain if he selects a more right guy than Richardson.

I'd like to see Joe Biden of Delaware given a look. Yeah, he's a little
prolix, but he knows the way the bread is buttered in DC and where all the
clean restrooms are, and the best restaurants. I would have voted for him
for pres. if he'd been on the ticket by then. I think he's a straight
shooter who calls 'em as he sees 'em.
