Default {OT} How to avoid embarassment

Nancy Pelosi at the DNC:

"All those in favor of the motion to suspend the rules and unanimously
nominate Barack Obama for President of the United States say Aye!"

Looong pause...AYE!!!!

"All those opposed" NO PAUSE AT ALL "The motion is carried, 2/3 of the
delegates having cast their votes...

Gee, I don't think I was even *ABLE* to hear any Nays...the opportunity
wasn't given!

If I were a Democrat, I'd be proud of my party! Forced Unity!!

More likely, you were again just too slow to notice because she gave
as much time as Newt and Tip did when they ruled on voice votes in the
House of Representatives.

I liked Tip. Newt, he was OK.
It might have a lot to do with the fact I HATE Pelosi, and wish she would
either resign or be impeached.

Let's face it, Mack...none of the party hacks on EITHER side act very
bright when it comes to the conventions.

As a matter of fact, I don't watch very much of either convention (but I
do watch the high points of both) because the display of banality from
both side is disgusting. Just once I would like to turn on one or the
other and here them say, this time we're going to focus on US and what WE
need to do rather than on THEM and whet THEY'RE doing wrong...
