I apologize, there was a statement from the designer of the set - he said
(roughly) he'd designed sets for Brittany and others but this was the
shortest time frame and he couldn't damage the field, so was his toughest
challenge.

From the looks of it, he bought it from MGM's back lot where it had been in
several movies (modified) "Temple of Doom, Quo Vadis, Cleopatra" all seemed
to sort of appear in this mode.

If he got a much of the $140 million, he was overpaid.
