We use 25% of world oil but we have just 3% of the reserves.

Those numbers are meaningless unless you believe that we use are going
to use the world's entire reserve in the next year. Of course trying
to reason with a foaming-at-the-mouth Dim is equally meaningless...

BUT, there seems to be a strange urgency to give something to oil
companies before Dubya leaves office. Sort of smells. Sounds like a
Used Car salesman putting pressure on us.

Try thinking about what you read, it might dawn on you as to why we are
shoveling 700 billion dollars a year overseas for oil, a transfer rate that
likely is unsustainable even for us.

It means that even if we exploited every barrel of oil under North
American land we'd be 22% short and have to import that amount of oil.

If you arsehole Dims hadn't stood in the way, we would NOT be paying 4
bucks a gallon for gas.

You also stood in the way of Nuclear power.

We should be making 100 percent of our electricity with nukes.

You people should all be shot....

You seem to be quite easily amused. Good for you.
Perhaps you'd care to enlighten me with the actual
percentages if you think that the numbers I quoted
are in error.
