Default Scott, how close were you to that mess in Volusia Co?

Just saw the news. (I'm trying to catch the weather. I'm wearing a kilt
tonight and it's supposed to be -5, so I'm trying to figure out how to keep
my legs warm.)

Lake and Volusia counties look like they really got it.

About 100 miles as the crow flies.

Yes those people got wiped out. Worst possible time (3:30 am).

Our new Republican Governor was on scene immediately. He did not
bitch about FEMA....he just did what we Floridians do...helped out.

Hell he asked what people needed (food) and he went and bought some
himself.

Yeah I doubt your old Republican Governor would have done that. Jeb Bush
sounds almost as stupid as his brother.

Too bad Florida just let all that ice melt.

Shut the fuck up, Art.

Jeb Bush was the best governor this state has seen since I've been
here.

You idiotic Dims wouldn't know a good politician if it bit you in the
ass (matter of fact your latest crowd is going to bite you in the ass)

I just received this email from some people that were CLOSE to the
tornado...

Hi Folks,

Thought that I would pass this on.

Joe

+-------

We just moved furniture to our new house in "The Villages" last week
and now are greeted with the Tornado. Fortunately, we have no damage
to our home, just lots of rain and wind. We live 2 miles North of the
tornado path where we learned about 1000 homes were damaged. There
are many homes and buildings destroyed but the community emergency
forces were quick to restore power and rescue people. This was every
bit as bad as a Katrina.
So, this is to advise everyone that we are alive and well, thank
God.

Erm... Is that a complicated way of saying their "latest crowd"
are good politicians?

I am _so_ glad we don't have USian Liberals or Conservatives in
the UK. Our own political debates are strange enough for now.

Let's see: a "Liberal" is defined as having properties ABC, any
one of which I despise; it happens that I despise that person X
there; so X may be a Liberal; so X is a liberal; so X has _all_
the nasty properties ABC; so it is okay to... Nah. Not in the
land that eventually rejected Joseph Raymond McCarthy. Surely?

Seems that a lot of people here seem to over-generalize, and to see things
only in b&w vs. possible shades of gray.
