From the Toyota Pre-Paid Premium maintenance service:

30,000-mile service includes:

All services listed in your Toyota Scheduled Maintenance Guide, which may include:

* Replace engine oil and oil filter
* Rotate tires (except MR2 Spyder)
* Replace cabin air filter
* Replace engine air filter
* Replace spark plugs (w/IGR-FE)
* Replace limited-slip differential oil
* Lubricate propeller shaft
* Lubricate wheel bearings
* Lubricate drive shaft bushings
* Re-torque drive shaft bolt
* Re-torque propeller shaft bolt

How tough is it to retorque the drive shaft and propellor shaft bolts, and
where the HELL are they?!?!

They must be referencing a pickup with RWD. The prop shaft is the drive
shaft and the bolts mate the U joint or CV joint with the input flange
of the pinion gear shaft and the output shaft flange of the
transmission. Not a difficult job.

You will not find a drive shaft and propeller shaft in a FWD car. And, a
drive shaft and a propeller shaft are the same thing in a RWD car or truck.

If one actually has a drive shaft, the bolts are easy to find.

I believe that Toyota calls a driven axle a propeller shaft.

I've always thought the propeller shaft AKA tail shaft (with universal
or/and CV joint(s)) externally connected a transmission to a differential
pinion on a RWD (or 4WD) vehicle. Axles and drive shafts connect a diff to a
wheel, internally in a live axle casing, or externally as in FWD or IRS rear
drive.

Drive shaft and propeller shaft are the same. They connect the transmission
or transfer case (as is apporpriate) to the differential, either front or
rear. The axle shaft connects the differential to its respective wheel
assembly.

That's the way I've always referred to them, and the guy I'm getting my
stuff from knows what box to sell me. And, when I go the drive line
speicalist shop, they are stacked to the rafters with drive shafts, not axle
shafts.
