Default OT: Rush nails liberalism yet again.

"Conservatism is difficult because it takes thought, application, time and
enerty to understand it. It's not harder because it doesn't make as much
sense as liberalism, it's the exact opposite: conservatism is an
intelectual pursuit."

He also noted that liberalism is a feel-good religion, as it were.

Guess he nailed JSB, (F)Art and all the rest.

Charles of Schaumburg

Nailing liberals is a bit like shooting fish in a barrel though.

That's cute. Rush wants people known as "dittoheads" to think they're
intellectuals. Thanks for the laugh.

This is your choice for the conservative voice?

Education

He attended Southeast Missouri State University, where he earned a "D"
in a speech class. (Some contend it was an "F".)[5] Limbaugh dropped out
after two semesters and one summer; according to his mother, "he flunked
everything," even a modern ballroom dancing class.[2] This would have
normally made him eligible to be drafted for service in the Vietnam War
but he was classified as "1-Y" (later reclassified "4-F") due to an
undisclosed medical problem thought most likely to be a pilonidal cyst
located on the base of his spine.[6][2]

[edit] Relationships

Limbaugh was first married on September 24, 1977 to Roxy Maxine McNeely,
a sales secretary at radio station WHB in Kansas City, Missouri. They
were married at the Centenary United Methodist Church in Cape Girardeau,
Missouri. In March 1980, McNeely filed for divorce, citing
"incompatibility." They were formally divorced on July 10, 1980.[2]

In 1983, Limbaugh married Michelle Sixta, a college student and
usherette at the Kansas City Royals Stadium Club. They were divorced in
1990, and she remarried the following year.[2]

On May 27, 1994, Limbaugh married Marta Fitzgerald, a 35-year-old
aerobics instructor, whom he met via the CompuServe online service. They
were married at the house of U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas,
who officiated. On June 11, 2004, when the couple separated,[7] Limbaugh
announced on the air, "Marta has consented to my request for a divorce,
and we have mutually agreed to seek an amicable separation. As I said,
it's a personal matter and I want to keep it that way. I don't intend to
say any more about this on the air." The divorce was finalized in
December 2004.[8]

He has no children from any of his marriages.

What proof did he offer to substantiate his empty claim? Or are you
one of those middle minds who's easily swayed by anybody who appeals
to your prejudices?

Did the NYT tell you to say that? The dominant liberal mainstream media
(establishment) has a far deeper following of programmable people that Rush
could ever hope for. That's why the liberals in congress are trying to shut
down any view other than theirs, calling it the "fairness doctrine". They
may get away with the FD because conservative media does not hide their bias
like the liberal dominant media, thus not requiring opposing views to be
present (which is the way the left want's it). Dan Blather was a perfect
example of a leftie hiding his bias. Trouble was, he couldn't hold back the
hatred any more and got carried away.

I know, it's Bush's fault

Did you cut-and-paste that or type it in yourself? Because I note, with
considerable amusement, that the "intelectual" [sic] pursuit of conservatism
doesn't involve proof-reading and spell-checking. Somebody didn't put any
"enerty" [sic] into getting the facts straight.

Ordinarily, typos are just typos and no big deal to me but, in this case,
when you're going for the "intelectual" [sic] high ground, your typos are
really funny and if this is a cut-and-paste job, it's doubly funny that your
published source doesn't get it right, either and then you don't notice and
fix it.

It's sort of symbolic of what passes for intellectualism with Rush; just
spout with no real attempt to get the facts straight.
