How do I set my idle? 89 740 Turbo

I have a 89 740 Turbo Intercoller and put a new engine in it and need
set my idle as it is at about 1500 rpm at idle?

Does anyone know how to adjust the idle lower?

Start with the throttle position switch on the throttle body. With the
engine off and listening closely you should hear a faint click just as you
move the throttle from idle and again as you release the throttle. If the
click is missing, adjust the swich (pretty obvious, IIRC) so it operates as
close to the idle position as possible. I bet that will fix you up.
