Does anyone know the answer to the following two questions?

Can the cigarette lighter plug be made to stay on when the ignition is
turned off and the key removed - like most cars seem to be?

Also I see Volvo sells a electric cooler that can be put in the trunk. I
also see there is a needed adapter "Conveniently powered through the
optional auxiliary power outlet, "

So I guess I would have to get one installed by the dealership but can't I
do it myself?
