I know where the overdrive solenoid is but where is the overdrive relay
located on a 1984 242.

Remove the glove compartment, it's clipped in immediately to the left
(assuming Left Hand Drive...RHD I have no clue). Be sure to tell the
dealer/parts supplier if you have a manual or an automatic transmission
since they use two different relays, but both use the same socket (just
to totally confuse people)
