| | | Change bulbs which light up the driver side temp selector on 01 s60? Hi all ~~
Does anyone have advice on how to change out the bulbs which light up
all the blower, temp controls, air placement (head, middle, feet), etc
on a 2001 S60 2.4 Turbo? I didn't know where to begin to try and get
behind there.
Thanks in advance! |

The CCM Climate Control Module has to be removed,
turned over and replace the bulbs. That sounds easy.
The cover over the gearshift lever comes off.
Pull the outer part up and release the 4 corner locking tabs
to get the outer plastic cover off.
Pull out the PEN holder, forward of the shift lever.
Remove the 2 lower climate unit screws.
Using plastic pry tools, pry down and toward the shift lever
the CCM. Hopefully it will drop downward enough
and towards the shift lever for it to fall out of the holding tabs
below the radio. Most stick in place and you have to pry kind of hard.
The shift lever needs to be in the reverse most position for the
CCM to be removed. Do not remove the green connector(s),
from the back side of the CCM with the key turned on.
If you do, CCM codes will be set and the dealer
will need to read and erase the CCM codes.
Move the CCM to the side, put gearshift in PARK and remove the ign key.
Now remove the green connector and the bulbs will be recessed into the
back side of the CCM.
Not all of the bulbs are the same. Hopefully your local dealer parts dept
can
look up the correct bulbs.
You may need to use tiny needle nose plyers to remove and change the bulbs.
Replace CCM in reverse order.

tackle this one.
Thanks.
