Are all the IP lights dimmed the same ?? Are you sure you don't
just need to adjust the dimmer control ?? Same knob/button that
turns on interior lights without opening door .

Or you may just have a loose ground wire that grounds all the IP
lamps.

Otherwise,on an '84 S-10, you simply remove the 5 screws on front
of trim, pull the cluster out, disconnect cable (disconnect
battery first to be safe)
