Default ignition lock

hello, i am the original owner of my 93 csmry le a couple days ago the ignition key would not turn to lock it stopped at acc and would go no further and could be removed i read a couple of posts on different forums about the same problem and decided it was the ignition lock cylinder so i replaced it and it still does the same thing . on this forum i read about a cylinder lock solenoid . i cannot remove the 2 screws holding this thing on the switch housing they must have thread lock or something they are that tight . now by disconnecting the solenoid everything seemes to work fine my question is this ok to run this way ? or should i get this solenoid out somehow and replace it .
thank you
wally

Wally

After speaking to one of our Certified Techs this was the respone to your question. Basically its not a safety issue to operate your vehicle that way. Without replacing the solenoid you will not be able to lock the steering wheel.

I hope this helps and our service department is open from 8am to 8pm Mon - Fri. if you have more questions. they can be reached at 1-877-523-2999.
