02 Camry Random Misfires 2002 Toyota Camry 4 cyl w/110,000 miles My 2002 Camry's check engine light is on and flashing. The car has an obvious misfire under load. The diagnostic codes P0300, P0301-P0304, P0446 and P1300 were all present when I had them read. I replaced the plugs and by disconnecting the coil packs one at a time, I determined that cylinder #2 was not firing. I replaced that coil pack - but the change had no effect. I understand that the 4 coil packs are controlled by 2 coils - each controlling two cylinders. Could the coil controlling coil packs 3 & 2 be bad? What are the proper terms/names for those components? How can I test the ignition components to get to the root cause of my problems? Could the problem be caused by a bad O2, Crank sensor or some other non-ignition component or sensor? HELP! |
