I haven't seen much here on how dealers are using their blog to promote sales. Thought I'd point a few ways I've used it and see if anyone has any other ideas.

One of the best things I have done to promote traffic is the spotlight section. As I have time, I showcase a particular car or truck on my site and write an article about it. This has been a good way to gain search engine traffic based on that vehicle.
Another way is to discuss local events. This has given my blog a more regional flavor.
I've found that there is not enough happening with the dealerships on my site to keep a blog going so this keeps the blog interesting.
