Team Cytosport (#06), the leader of the race up until ten minutes ago, was towed into the pits after the
2002 Acura RSX Type-S (#24) of Team Honda Research West 1 hit the Daytona Prototype in the right rear between turns 7 and 8. According to Cytosport's driver, Klaus Graf, he was passing the #24 car between the two turns when the Acura turned in early (really, really early) and impacted the rear wheel. Body damage seems to be minimal, but the Cytosport crew has already removed the rear suspension and is currently inspecting the transmission. More details to follow.
