Hello,

I'm completely new to this business and would like to obtain a dealers license in southern CA. I've been doing my research and I understand the process required in terms of applying and taking the test to obtain the license. Here's the issue that I'm running into.

In CA, you're required to have a physical office location in order to operate this business. To my understanding, it must be zoned to sell cars.

Now, since I've just started, I don't have enough financing to lease out a large office area that's zoned to sell cars. I plan to do this eventually but to start out, I want to see if it's possible to use someone's location so that I can start selling cars.

How did everyone get started with their business and bring it up to a level where they are able to lease out a office location?
