If you want speed, visit your
Corvette dealer near Delran. If the Corvette is known for anything, it is its speed. All three of the 2009 Corvettes handle well on the race track, and as you might expect, the ZR1 is at the top of the heap when it comes to speed.
The base 2009 Corvette Coupe handles very well. The handling is predictable and it is on the limit. While it’s not prepared to dive-bomb a corner with the brakes on or a closed throttle, it handles itself very well. It will also go from 0 to 60 in just 4.1 seconds, and it can go from 0 to 100 in 9.0 seconds.
The Z06, as you would expect, is a step up. It can hit 60 miles per hour in only 3.6 seconds, and will hit 100 in only 8.3 seconds. It also runs a full lap 2.1 seconds faster than the base 2009 Chevrolet Corvette.
At the top end the ZR1 is, of course, king of the track. It has a softer feel on the track than the Z06, and the steering has plenty of feel. It can hit 60 in 3.4 seconds and 100 in 6.7 seconds, which is better than competitors Ferrari F430, Porsche 911 Turbo and Nissan GT-R. Its braking is better than just about any other production car, slowing from 70 to stop in 142 feet.
No matter which Corvette you choose, you can count on excellent performance on the track or on the road.
