Default Caring for your Chevrolet's Wheels and Tires

Taking care of your Chevrolet'’s wheels and tires is integral to your safety on the road, your fuel efficiency and even your car’s longevity. Your wheels and tires represent your car’s feet. If you don’t take care of them, they can cause all sorts of problems.

Here are some basic things you can do to keep your tires and wheels running smooth:
  • Make sure your tire pressure is correct. Overinflation or underinflation will cause accidents, blowouts, and reduced your gas mileage. Check your tire pressure once a month or more. If you’ve got a leaky tire, it’s time to get it replaced or repaired.
  • Watch for uneven wearing on your tires. Your tires might sometimes start to wear in an uneven pattern. If this happens, it often means you need an alignment. If your alignment is all right, you may have a problem with your brakes, shocks or struts. Don’t let a problem of uneven wear go for too long, or the problem may get worse.
  • Rotate your tires regularly. Rotating your tires helps to make sure you get the maximum performance and value from your tires, and insures their longevity.
