Default Troubleshooting Your Nissan's Brake Problems

Your brakes are perhaps the most important safety equipment on your Nissan vehicle. They're all that stand between you and an accident, so you need to recognize when there are problems and be able to respond quickly.

One of the most common warning signs that there's a problem with your Nissan's brakes is that the pedal goes down too far. If you step on the pedal and it goes a long way before your car actually slows down, it could be your brake fluid is low. If your brake fluid is full, it could be that it's contaminated by condensation or water. Your brake pads could also be worn. It could also be that your brake booster has gone bad.

Another possible problem is that your brake pedal may feel too firm. You'll notice this if it seems like your brake pedal is harder to push down than normal. This can mean that there's a problem with your brake booster. It can also mean that there's an obstruction of some sort in your brake line.

If your brake pedal goes all the way down to the floor, it can mean a serious problem. it can mean that your master brake cylinder has gone bad, or that you've got air in your brake fluid. On the other hand, it can also merely indicate that your brake fluid is low.

If you have problems with your Nissan's brakes, come to your Cherry Hill area Nissan Dealer today and have it taken care of.
