Document Management for DMS Systems

I would like to know from any dealers out there on how important they think a document management system is to their business.

I am redeveloping a current system in place at many UK dealerships and would like to know what functions users are looking for to help them manage invoices, purchase invoices, delivery notes etc!!

I would welcome any comments on this subject.
