Default Best DMS for my situation

    Hello Everyone,

First Post! Glad to be on the Forum. I finished my pre-license course today and am just trying to get all my ducks in a row before I start moving to fast. Im curious about DMS. I worked for Carmax for years and they use a custom DMS only for there dealers which is pretty much all the best parts of each one stolen into theres.I have also used ADP systems which I know is way to expensive for my application (father sold systems for them in the 80s and 90s). The only smaller software I have used is Wayne Reeves and I wasnt crazy about it. It did basically what I needed but I felt it was not very user friendly and I had to use a 2 page typed template to walk me through every sale so I didn't mess it up. I need something user friendly, that will track my inventory, also to BHPH, store records, print all the forms. Basically I want it to do it all. I have written plenty of deals from the forms with a pen but I prefer not too, to many simple mistakes to be made. Also I cant spend a whole lot of money, im just getting started and Im only going to have a 4-6 care inventory. (1 man show) Any input on systems and pros or cons you have found about them would be fantastic.

    Regards,

    J

    Hi J,

Have you checked out DeskManager DMS by AutoManager? It starts at $595 and has a BHPH module that explains what all the fields are for when you select them. You can download a free demo at AutoManager.com.

Full disclosure, I do marketing for these guys, but they have a lot of satisfied referral customers and lots of independent clients in all 50 states. Plus they have a web marketing/website building platform that integrates with the DMS so you don't have to manage all that stuff separately. It's definitely worth a look.

    Good luck with your search!

I am a Automotive Business Consultant, I can help you with a few different DMS's including Frazer for Used Car Dealers, and more. Also, I can hook you up with warranties, and banks including subprime banks which are so highly needed right now.
