Default Inspiring Trades

Car Dealers can be a creative bunch when it comes to selling and we like to pass good ideas along when we hear them. Here is one.

One of our car dealer customers asked us to make a dry erase sign to go in the Service Department customer lounge area. It is designed to inspire the current service customers to trade out their car while on-site. On it, the Service Manager has listed under the heading “Immediate Need Used Cars” vehicles that are in the shop that day and have good trade-in values.

How does it work? You pull car appointments for the next day and list 8-10 vehicles with great trade-in values. You simply list the cars with potential and inspire customers to ask about trades because they have seen that their vehicle is one of your "immediate needs". Great vehicles are ones within 5,000 miles of warranty expiration or 2-4 years old. Others include ones coming in for major service.

You have just created a great opportunity for a sale/purchase. What a great idea!
