• When you do check out the shop, make sure you do so with an observant eye. Watch for an organized facility, with modern equipment.

• Ask if the shop normally works on GMC trucks. Make sure they’re not a specialty facility that doesn’t normally work on your type of vehicle.

• Once your service is done, follow up. If the service was good, make sure to give them repeat business. If it isn’t first try to talk with the service manager or the owner about the problem. A reputable shop will make an effort to keep you as a customer.
