    Default '96 LHS check engine

1996 Chrysler LHS - check engine light is on

From reading around, I turned the ignition key on 3 times to get the
    blinks code.

    I got: 1 2 7 2 5 5 -- but I don't know what the 1272 means, just that
the 55 is the end. I looked around some sites that gave OBD diagnostic
codes, but the 1272 didn't show up anywhere.

I'm also reading that there are some places that might hookup to the
computer and read and provide for me the actual stored computer diagnostic
    information without charge.

Or, what is the best approach to this problem?

Don't worry about the code 12 as this is also a start of codes as well as
battery recently disconnected. The one you need to worry about is the 72
which is indicting your left catalytic converter. Which one was previously
replaced? I've never experienced this code before, but know that others on
this group will have some thoughts since I would think this could also be
caused by several other issues and not just a bad catalytic converter.

You need an OBDII code reader ... The blinking codes was a huge asset that
they stopped doing sometime around 1999 or 2000.
