    Default 30 second service estimates!

I'm looking to get some feedback on the viability of selling my custom built program. I've been an advisor for 12yrs at a few dealerships, both large (26 bays) and small (10bays). I have yet to come across a dealer that can do what my program can do. In fact most still use a carbon copy estimate paper.

    Features:
    1) simple to use (2mins to learn how to build a quote)
    2) has built in pricing for the most common items (lof, flushes, brakes, tbelt, etc)
    3) can combine several items at once into a full quick quote with about 5 clicks
    4) calculates taxes and misc fees (shop supplies) for an accurate total
    5) can build a quote from $20 to several thousand $ in max 3mins.
    6) can turn on/off items on a whim and totals are recalculated on screen instantly based on the whimsical nature of our customers buying decisions
    7) has a visual element showing intervals for recommended services on the same screen as the quote for easy of customers when writing up the ro or appt.
    8) can import the declined items via copy/paste directly into adp or reynolds
    9) is customized to match any dealerships schedule/pricing
    10) can be make/model/year/engine specific for pricing and scheduling
    11) can double as a temporary repair order/invoice for when adp or Reynolds type programs go down. (with pintable quotes/invoices for entry into DMS software when it comes back up)
    12) has a very easy tool to help figure out what maintenance should be done on low km vehicles that are several years old. (ie the little old' lady who goes to the store once a week for milk but has a 5yr old car and needs a timing belt done)

I'm confident that we need this type of program for the advisors /appointment coordinators and especially for the new employees. Most appointment coordinators I've run into are untrained in what maintenance is due (at least most that I have worked with, that is)

    A) I need to figure out what something like ths would be worth. (consider the fact that at my current dealership, I figure it adds at least .1 to .5 per every ro if not more. (my sales with this running are $20,000 /mnth ahead of my fellow advisors, without... About equal or slightly ahead)
    B) I need to figure out if someone else has something similar and why I haven't seen anything like it yet (Canadian dealerships, only worked in one large city, might both be contributing factors but, maybe there isn't such a beast yet)
    C) I need to figure out whom to sell it to. Dealer principle or service manager or fixed ops manager.

Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Quick test pattern update: had some feedback on another site that said "excel based software is great but can look too homegrown" so I added a background image to spruce it up a bit. This is a quick 5min addition obviously needing some fine tuning and a more professional style to it.

Update: There are 147 dealers less than 2hrs from where I live. 32 are Ford, 26 are Chrysler, 19 GM, 10 Toyota, 9 Honda.

The program is now "white labeled" (can be used for any make/model. )

Still ironing out the pricing model. That seems to be the biggest hurdle.

5 days of training on how to utilize the software tool effectively should be enough for most dealers in this area (x2 trainers).

The design of the software originally focused on selling the "gravy" flushes that the advisors are usually spiffed on. We're looking at having the supplier of those products (BG, Forte, Versel, etc.) possibly tie into us via kickbacks on sales increases or something along those lines.

At minimum the program should increase sales by .1 to .5 per ro. The dealer I am at now had 8000 Ro's last year at $110 per hr effective labour rate..... That works out to about $90k - $450k per year increase in sales.

We're looking for a two type pricing structure. 1) install / initial training cost (including the first year subscription cost). 2) yearly subscriptions (discounted for 5yr or 3yr contracts)

Here's hoping that's enough info to have one of you guys suggest a price that a dealer principle might pay for this....
