| About the 2008 Ford Focus The Ford Focus arrived on the market in 2000, specifically designed to appeal to the driver looking for edgy style and a driving experience similar to European models. The Ford Focus has been a success, and usually winds up in third place right behind the Honda Civic and the Toyota Corolla, no small feat for an automaker based in the United States. 2008 saw the redesign of the Ford Focus. To keep the Focus competitive, Ford made some significant changes to the Focus. Mechanically, it is very similar to previous models, but it’s received quite a facelift. In addition, Ford added some horsepower, revised the suspension and, most of all, updated the interior. It’s in the interior design changes that the 2008 Ford Focus really shines. The SES trim version of the Focus adds metallic-looking surfaces to the dash. The gauges have white faces and chrome rings, along with blue gauge lighting. The most significant part of the interior, however, is the Sync system developed in partnership with Microsoft. The Sync system interacts with your Bluetooth phone, offers voice command for your digital music player, and does many other multimedia-related tasks. 2008 saw the introduction of a coupe to the Ford Focus lineup. The coupe replaces the hatchback versions of the Ford Focus, something some people aren’t too happy about. Still, the coupe has a nice look to it, and performs very well in road testing. There are a variety of trim levels to the 2008 Ford Focus. The base S level includes air conditioning, an auxiliary audio jack and a tilt steering wheel. The SE model has remote keyless entry, power accessories, and 15-inch alloy wheels with wheel covers. The SES gets to have added front and rear stabilizer bars as well as upgraded tires. Options include things like leather seating, cruise control, heated front seats, a sunroof, and Satellite radio. If you’re in the market for a stylish and economical car, look no further than the 2008 Ford Focus. ![]() Last edited by JCME; 09-15-2008 at 07:16 PM. |
