Default How do you manage your leads?

Hi guys,
New here, wondering how you all manage your third-party internet leads? I'm working with a few guys and we're trying to learn more about the way dealers acquire, capture and process third-party leads because we've heard from a few dealers about how unhappy they are with it. Two of my pals work as dealers and after hearing about this for a few years, I'd like to investigate if there's a better solution. Not being a dealer (I write software and build websites), I thought I'd inquire here for some feedback. I've learned a lot from this site already so I'm hoping you can give me some feedback.

Some specifics I was wondering:

- Do you buy a flat number of leads from a provider, or 1-by-1?
- Do your leads flow right into your DMS, or do they come via email or other?
- Do you get a deal when a lead is shotgun'd (muliple dealers getting the same prospect)?

Thanks for your time!

Reilly
