Default How to Keep your Mercedes Benz Looking New

After purchasing your new Mercedes car you probably want to keep it looking like - well- a new Mercedes car. You have invested a lot of time in choosing which vehicle suits your personality so it is worth taking some time to protect that investment. Here are a few simple tips to keep your car looking like the day you first drove it home.

1. Wash your car at least once per month. Your car will pick up a lot of dirt and grime, some of which is not always easy to see. By washing your vehicle on a regular basis you can remove the grime before it has a chance to set into the paint. Use a good car shampoo, not soap and water, and dry with a soft cloth that won’t scratch your car’s surface.

2. Wax your new Mercedes car at least quarterly, if not more often. Before applying any wax, move your car into the shade and ensure that all dirt has been removed. Most people will apply wax right after washing the car, and it’s a good way to ensure you’re doing it regularly. Apply the wax to your vehicle using small, circular motions. Use a new or clean terry cloth to remove any excess wax. Once the body has been waxed, apply tire wax to your tires. Use a tire wax that comes as a spray for ease of application. Finally, clean the dashboard and steering column, and if have chosen leather seats apply leather conditioner to them.

3. Keep up with your regular inspections. Not only will this help with the running of your car, your Cherry Hill area Mercedes Benz dealership can notice dings or scratches that you may have missed and can touch them up with paint. Also if your windshield has been damaged your dealership can apply resin that is difficult to detect but will prevent further damage.
